Jeff Wohlt .078 Piano wire drive.
This is a solid .078 in diameter piano wire that’s assembled to a 3/16″ prop shaft. The prop shaft measures 2.25″ long. The total length of the assembled system is approximately 16″ from end to end.
Wire drive systems are well suited to boats that can have the motor mounted forward in the hull so that the bend in the piano wire is very slight. In setups like this, the piano wire will cause less resistance in the drive system.
Only the shaft and wire are included.
Requires:
Octura oct-oc6dmm drive dog.
OSE prop nut ose-8135.
If you decide to use teflon liner to build your drive system, you will also need a .098 teflon liner (pn# oct-teflon-24) and 3/16″ Stuffing tube (pn# ks-brass-tb-12)
